This webinar will focus on how cultural and linguistic studies can be inclusive, and ways in which cultural phenomena can be better represented within various contexts. The panelists Mukile Kasongo (University of Birmingham), Yasmina Silva (National Library of Guinea-Bissau), and Shila Ishwardat (decolonial and postcolonial philosophy)] shall address the question of methodology and objectivity in research carried out from various positioning in African Studies, Translation Studies and Decolonising Research. Participants are encouraged to prepare for a fruitful discussion on how we can better interpret cultural and linguistic phenomena in Africa
